You can go through about three chains before the rear sprocket shows any wear. That website misses a point about chain size. The numbers are in 1/8" of an inch. A 520 chain is 5/8" between the pin centers and 2/8" across the rollers (1/4"). The 525 is 5/8" pitch and 2.5" eights roller width (5/16"). Only 'issue' was a fill up up that showed as 1/2 tank. Turned the bike off, restart and it was back up to full. That was the ONLY mechanical issue I ran into. Temps never went over half.
